Menachem Cohen – CEO and Chairman of Medivie & Director of Hi-Pharma.
Mr. Cohen brings about 9 years of managerial experience in the field of assisted living homes for the elderly. After selling his part, Menachem became a serial investor and partnered with “Grain Farming Automation Ltd.”, and invested in agricultural projects in the Chinese market and built clever tech greenhouses in harsh climate zones. Mr. Cohen became the CEO of Medivie in 2017, and changed the focus of the company to the field of medical cannabis (MC).
Dr. Asher Holzer – Medivie Director and Chairman of Hi-Pharma.
Dr. Holzer has over 30 years’ experience in management of both private and public corporations in the medical device and the biotech industry, covering activities of product development, clinical studies, regulatory affairs and marketing. Asher founded several successful biotech companies, served as their chairman and president, among which, InspireMD (NYSE MKT: NSPR), a medical device company related to heart attacks; UroGen Pharma (NASDAQ: URGN) focusing on therapies for urological pathologies. Asher Holzer was part of the management team of Biosense, which was acquired by J&J in 1997 and became the worldwide market leader in developing and marketing products for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
Dr. Holzer holds a Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics and a M.Sc. Degree in Material Science, from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. He holds several patents, mainly in the fields of interventional cardiology and urology.
Itay Hecht – CEO of Hi-Pharma.
Mr. Hecht brings 7 years of know-how and practice in running shops of cannabis flora and seeds in Holland; he has a vast knowledge and experience of the cannabis cultivation, production and genetics, together with business and marketing strategies.
Itay is a seasoned manager, and for 7 years he supervised engineer projects, as the COO of Pelgey Sharon – one of the water and sewage cooperation in Israel. Mr. Hecht earned his water & soil Engineering and environmental degree at the Rupin Academic Center, and holds a B.A. degree in Geography and Environment from the Haifa University, Israel.
